Yesterday, a friend of mine asked me to pickup some cassette tapes for him at the store.
I said, “You’re iPhone 4GS can record sound.”
He said, “Oh. I didn’t know it could do that. “
I started wondering how many people who own ‘smart phones’ think that these phones are just ‘phones’?
In case you’re one of those people, let’s talk.
Your smart phone is NOT a phone. It is a:
2. Image Processor
4. GPS station and GPS Application Host
5. Photo Album
6. Game Console
7. A Recording Studio
8. and almost anything else you can think of …
9. and yes, it also works as a Phone.
The difference between a smart phone and a special purpose device of each type listed above is: you must download the software … an APP … instead of going a buying some cassette tapes.
It’s a little more confusing initially, and you may need to spend as much time and money getting it right as the trip to the electronics superstore would have required.
But, you will have a powerful new tool without having to carry around an additional ‘tape’ or ‘player’ or anything else.
This is MAGIC!
… and I told my friend he was crazy and refused to buy him the tapes.
